At Flexiwear, Kirsty believes that your stage presentation is just as important as the training that got you there. As posing trunks (and shorts) offer little in the way of coverage, you would be forgiven for thinking that one size fits all. However this could not be further from the truth. Kirsty recognises that everyone is unique and designing to those unique proportions is vital to best frame your physique.
Working with competitors of all ages and stages, Kirsty takes great pride in helping her clients enhance their physique with the right style and best fit.
Using your personal measurements, she will draft your own individual pattern and handcraft your stagewear from only the best premium quality fabrics.
As a client of Flexiwear, you will work one on one with Kirsty as she guides you through the process from fabric selection, measuring to how to wear your posing trunks either in person or via Flexiwear’s well-established online service.

Do you have any ready-made posing trunks, classic physique trunks or square cut posing shorts for sale?
Flexiwear does not sell ready-made posing trunks, classic physique trunks or square cut posing shorts.
All Flexiwear posing trunks are made-to-measure for each client.
As a designer, Kirsty appreciates each person’s individuality when it comes to framing their physique.
Why doesn’t your website show any prices for stagewear?
There are many design elements that go into pricing and Flexiwear’s designs are designed and custom-made for individual clients. Please contact Kirsty for Flexiwear’s current prices of posing trunks, classic physique trunks and square cut shorts.
How far out from my competition do I need to place an order?
As soon as you commit to your competition.
Ideally best time to book is 4-5 months out from your competition as there are limited spots available each month. Some competition months do fill up completely, however 9-12 weeks is usually an adequate timeframe to organise an order.
Please be aware, at times Flexiwear can be fully booked in advance.
What form of payment do you accept and when is my payment due?
Payment is by direct credit into Flexiwear’s NZ bank account.
Your payment is due in full within 5 days of placing your order, payment secures your spot in Flexiwear’s sewing schedule.
Is my payment refundable if I decide not to compete?
Once your order is confirmed time in Flexiwear’s sewing schedule is allocated to you, any cancellation within 8 weeks of your competition date 50% of your payment is refundable.
(In extremely special circumstances you may be able to transfer your order to another competition date, this is assessed case by case)

How do I know what style to order?
Flexiwear offers several styles of bodybuilding stagewear for men, here is a list of what style each federation and class require:

What type of fabrics and colours do you have?
Flexiwear sources fabrics from all over the world to ensure your posing trunks or square cut posing shorts are made with only the best. The range includes first-grade Italian nylon lycra, velvets, glitter velvets, holographic spandex, metallic spandex in many colours and shades of the rainbow.
How do I see your fabric range?
Once I have ordered my posing trunks, classic physique trunks or square cut posing shorts when will they be made?
The sewing of your order starts about 4/5 weeks out from your competition date.
(Please remember booking your stagewear in advance is a vital step in the process to ensure your place in Flexiwear’s short timeframe sewing schedule)
Do you have a size chart?
No, Flexiwear does not have a size chart because as a designer Kirsty appreciates each person’s individuality when it comes to body shape, so she uses your measurements to create your individual sewing pattern.
When and where do I measure for my posing trunks, classic physique trunks or square cut posing shorts?
About 4/5 weeks out from your competition date it is time to take your measurements.
At Flexiwear’s private studio you can be measured personally by Kirsty or she can email you step-by-step measurement instructions to follow. This is then emailed back with ‘un-posed’ photos that Kirsty uses to visually check your measurements.
For accurate measuring it is advised you have someone else take your measurements.
Do you offer a fitting service?
Yes, you are welcome to come to Flexiwear’s private studio in Cambridge, Waikato for a fitting with Kirsty.
What if I am unable to come to you for a fitting?
As your posing trunks are made from your personal measurements, they are a custom fit for you.
If there is a fitting issue, there is time allowed before your competition for your posing trunks to be returned to Kirsty and the alterations done.
Will my stagewear be lined?
Flexiwear’s male bodybuilding stagewear are lined in the front with premium swimwear lining and unlined rear for a super smooth finish over the glutes.

When will I receive my posing trunks, classic physique trunks or square cut posing shorts?
Your finished stagewear is sent about 10 days out from the competition by trackable overnight courier to a physical address (or local NZ Courier depot for collection) and will need to be signed for on delivery.
Delivery is additional and cost will be confirmed at time of booking.
What if I receive my posing trunks, classic physique trunks or square cut posing shorts and they do not seem to fit?
Contact Kirsty straight away (within 24 hours of receiving your order).
She asks that you email her a couple of photos wearing them so she can visually see what is going on. As part of Flexiwear’s custom-made service if there are any alterations needed there is no additional charge (conditions apply).
Alterations done after your competition are at your own expense and garments must be supplied clean or a cleaning fee of $50 will apply.
Please note: It is especially important that you follow Flexiwear’s measuring instructions carefully and contact Kirsty if you would like further clarification. She can talk you through the process on a Zoom consultation. As part of Flexiwear’s measuring instructions Kirsty asks for a set of photos so she can view your body’s proportions. Flexiwear will not be held responsible for any errors made by a client when taking their measurements.
What is your return policy?
Due to the personal nature of Flexiwear’s stagewear and your garment is custom made to your individual measurements all sales are final.
